Metropolis DMV Painting & Contracting was founded by Nick Ploutis, who grew up around the trade. Painting and contracting run in his family. Nick learned the work from his father, Alex Ploutis, and spent years working alongside him at the company his father built.

The Ploutis name is tied to some work worth remembering. As Nick tells it: "My father Alex Ploutis restored the original colors of the main rotunda, the small rotunda, and the Statuary Hall in the United States Capitol building in 1976 for the bicentennial."

Today, Metropolis is a family-owned and operated, full-service commercial painting and general contracting company. For more than 20 years, we've taken care of property managers, business owners, and homeowners across Virginia, Maryland, and D.C. Our team knows the trade inside and out. They take pride in their work, they treat your property with respect, and they get the job done without cutting corners. No job is too big or too small.
